A really interesting rug on the website, similar to a lot of their more art deco style rugs which we tend to love. The color scheme is maybe a little iffy with soft pinks, reds, blacks and grays, but we were willing to give it a try since it photographs pretty well.

Enter: Disappointment. Where do we begin?

In person, the rug starts off a lot uglier to begin with. The main gray color is a very dull looking gray. The soft pinks and browns really look more like skin tones in a way that can only be described as “not colors I want on my rug”. The red is ok, but is less vibrant and more maroon in person. Black and gray… are black and gray.

The rug gets very dirty very fast. For some reason it just grabs a hold of dirt and hairs and fabrics of all sorts and really shows them off in the most undesirable way possible.

It’s thin and the fabric, listed as predominantly viscose, is not particularly soft feeling. It’s not a comfy rug and it needs more than just a rug pad to fix the problem. It needs to be a different rug.

Not all is bad. It doesn’t seem to shed really, and it’s easy enough to clean. These things don’t make a rug, though, and for that reason even if it wasn’t $399-$1,199 we’d recommend to steer clear.
